Farm Stay is an East African animal welfare organization for animals under direct human influence, which reveals suffering, rescues animals in need and protects them. Our vision is a world where humans treat animals with respect, empathy and understanding. Our focus is on animals that are directly under human influence: stray companions, farm animals and wild animals kept in inappropriate conditions. We aim to help animals in need directly and quickly.
Our Mission
To respond in real time to disasters so that no animal is left behind. When disaster strikes, pet and animal owners who have to vacate face a devastating choice to abandon their animals to seek shelter or ride out the storm alongside them.

FarmStay is an East African regional non-profit helping animals and people thrive together. We are experts and everyday people, working within the region. We rescue, rehabilitate, and release animals, and we restore and protect their natural habitats. The problems we’re up against are urgent and complicated. To solve them, we match fresh thinking with bold action. We partner with local communities, governments, non-governmental organizations, and businesses. Together, we pioneer new and innovative ways to help all species flourish.
Our Belief
We believe that every Animal matters
When we rescue one animal – a house pet abandoned in a flood, a cow, goat or pig displaced by an earthquake, a marine mammal entangled in fishing line, we’re doing much more than saving a life. We’re reuniting a family. We’re restoring a community’s livelihood. We’re saving a species on the brink of extinction. We’re saving our planet.
